Prayer for Goverment
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1Timothy 2:1-2 KJV)
Father we come before You in intercession for the governments within our nation,
for our national government, the state of California, and our bay area communities.
We give You thanks with a grateful heart for our nation, the United States of America.
We thank You that You blessed us with such a great nation.
You are great and designed and created our nation in Your image so that Your people…
…will be blessed,
…will be a blessing to the nations of this earth,
…and will know You.
We thank You for the foundations of righteousness, justice, and truth that You have built this nation on, having created a republic which stands on the Word of God, the Bible.
As we pray for our government, we ask You to remove pride, corruption, and narcissism from our governmental leaders.
We ask that You will raise up leaders…
…who will embrace the values of truth, integrity, and honesty.
…who will be known for moral uprightness
…who will be wise managers and stewards of what they are entrusted with.
…who will lead with humility.
…who will guard their own families
…who will not be ruled by the fear of man, but the fear of God
We call for our government
…to deal justly with lawbreakers
…to protect those who do good
…to lift up family values
…to guard the weak and the helpless
…and to venerate humanity
As God’s Kingdom comes to earth as it is in heaven,
We declare a moral revolution back to the ways of God.
We declare fairness, justice, and righteousness in our justice systems as it reflects of the justice of God.
We declare the release of the government of Jesus that rests on His shoulders to rule over the governments of this earth.
