Prayer and Declaration for the Media

Our Lord Jesus prayed, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

We stand in agreement with His prayer in the area of the Media. We claim it and set it aside for God's kingdom and principles, that it would be used to mold the minds of men in accord with God's plans and purposes.

Specifically we call the internet, television news broadcasts, news-style talk shows, newspaper and other printed media to come into alignment with God's principles. We declare that the media will no longer be used to promote the devil's agenda to kill, steal, destroy, corrupt, demoralize and discourage. Instead, let it used to present truth and hope, to help people raise to their full potential and step into their God-given destiny.

In particular, we are believing the Lord for
− A decrease of negativity and hopelessness in the news.
− A redefinition of “political correctness” that does not present sin as “good” or “normal.”
− The elimination of internet viruses, scams, and anything else intended to harm or cheat.
− The elimination of pornography from magazines and from the internet.
− An increase of accurate reporting that covers all sides of a given topic fairly.
− Godly men and women who determine what information the media will present.
− Regulations to enforce wholesomeness and family values in all aspects of the media.
− Godly regulations for internet content, along with new technologies to enforce them.
− An increase of wholesome material that unsaved people will find interesting.
− An increase of Integrity in all aspects of the media.
− New communications technologies that bring the kingdom of God into the media.

We claim the new and emerging media technologies for God's purposes, that they will be used to cause God's will to be done on this earth, as it is in Heaven.
