1. When cutting and pasting from another application, such as a word processor, I recommend clicking on the Paste as Plain Text button at the top, the one with the T. You can paste into that box, and it comes out clean. Then adjust formatting as you like with the site editor.

2. The site will choose what text to put on the main blog listing. That text is called the Teaser. It will try to use whole paragraphs. You can force your own Teaser spot with the Insert Teaser Break button. Here I put the Teaser Break at the end to force the whole thing to show up. I usually just let the site programming do it for me.

3. Images should not be overly large for the blog. You can adjust the size it appears further with the Insert/Edit Image button. That function also allows you to Align the picture left or right of the text, so the text wraps around the picture — a nice effect. Place the image at the left of the text even if aligning it right. (Who are the little girls?)

Note: I reserve the right to adjust your blog formatting slightly when I think it will help. Content is still yours.
